Film Screening: There Is a Light That Never Goes Out
August 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
This is a rare screening of the rediscovered 50-minute documentary about the 1994 ‘Quilts of Love’ display of the AIDS Quilt UK at Hyde Park Corner – never broadcast at the time, screened only once privately, and presumed lost for thirty years until a VHS copy was found last year. It features Quilt makers, an interview with Alastair Hume who started and led the UK Quilt, and interviews with attendees including Michael Hutchence, Boy George, Neneh Cherry and Rifat Ozbek speaking about the pandemic.
This is a fundraising screening for the UK Quilt- tickets are £10 booked via www.museumofrichmond.com
