Host the Quilt

The Quilt is a beautiful and powerful work of art in its own right. To see it on public display is a deeply moving experience. If you would like to host a display please get in touch.

Displaying the Quilt

The UK collection consists of 333 individual Quilt panels, each measuring 3ft x 6ft, symbolic of a typical grave plot. Every panel in the Quilt was made by someone who loved the person it remembers.

Individual panels were stitched together to form larger blocks measuring 12ft x 12ft.We have 48 blocks and 26 individual panels available for display.

The large blocks have metal eyelets around the borders that allow them to be hung from an appropriate structure. They may also be displayed on the floor where there is sufficient space for visitors to move around them safely.

The panels are precious and each one irreplaceable, and we take their care seriously.

But we also believe the Quilt should be seen in as many places as possible, and we have supported displays in international museums, cathedrals, libraries, clinics, hospitals and even on stage in theatres.

If you have a space and a desire to show the Quilt, we would love to hear from you. We will work with you to find a display approach that works for your venue and handles the collection with the care it deserves.
