Quilt making workshop at the Tate

June 14 @ 11:45 am - 12:45 pm

Thinking of making a quilt panel for someone who lived and died with HIV, but not sure how to start?

Join our free workshop at Tate Modern on Saturday 14 June 2025 for practical advice and creative inspiration.

No sewing or art experience needed — just your ideas and the enthusiasm to begin.

Led by:

Karina Thompson – artist, quilter and long-time educator who volunteered with AIDS quilt workshops in the 1990s

Emma Duggan – freelance objects conservator with 25 years’ experience working in museums and on community heritage projects, including the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt
