Wakefield is set to be the first city to welcome a full display of the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt, outside of London. All the 42 large Quilt blocks will be on display at Wakefield Exchange and the 24 individual panels will be shown in a variety of venues across the Wakefield area.
The documentary film about the 1994 Hyde Park display “There is a Light that never goes out” will be screened throughout the display. There will be quilt making workshops to join on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June.
