The collection of UK AIDS Quilts were made between 1989 and 1996 to commemorate friends, lovers and family members who passed away from an AIDS related illness during this time. You can zoom in to some of the specific details listed below.The left panel remembers Fred and Malcolm with an image of a dancing clown and a bottle of vodka alongside two poems.The top centre panel has the red title ‘Remembering Friends from Heartlands in Birmingham’, with an image of three hearts emanating from the UK.The bottom centre panel remembers Paul Paj with the date 1954 – 1993 with an image of a chef. On the left is an image of fresh kitchen produce and a recipe book, on the right is a collage of many dogs.The right panel remembers Denny Williams on a yellow panel with a music score design. The panel was made by Roy, Denny’s partner of 6.5 years.
